HTA'S CURRENT AND MAJOR PROJECTS

We have several long-term projects underway, planned for the future, and completed.

1.  Planning and construction of the 16 mile Fraser-to-Granby Trail, a natural-surface non-motorized multi use trail.

2.  HTA also has a Winter Grooming Program. We are currently grooming the Fraser River Trail in the Town of Fraser from the Cozen's Ranch Museum to CR8, and on the Fraser to Granby Trail from CR 5221 (Coyote Creek Subdivision) to CR53 (YMCA)

3. Adopt-a-Trail Program – annual maintenance of almost 500 miles of public access trails throughout Grand County. Volunteer trail adopters are led, supervised, and coordinated by the USFS and Headwaters Trails Alliance staff.

4. HTA helps with coordination of Colorado’s largest annual National Public Lands Day event, where over 200 volunteers gather and perform trail and restoration work on up to six different work sites. For more information on National Public Lands Day, please click here!

5.  Development, printing, and distribution of our free Grand County Trails Map as a public service.
